Special Projects
Special Projects are a core and essential part of the club’s overall activities. They range from initiatives that bring the local CEEMS community closer together, fostering stronger bonds among members, to outreach efforts that create opportunities for collaboration with other universities.
This section highlights the diverse projects undertaken by the NTU CEE Club, each designed to strengthen community engagement, encourage collaboration, and enrich the overall student experience.
SUCCEED 2026
The Singapore Universities Combined Civil Engineering Engagement Day (SUCCEED) 2026 was held on 7 February, bringing together 160 students from various institutions across Singapore for a day of collaboration, innovation, and industry engagement.
SUCCEED is a rotational inter-university initiative between Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS) and Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). This year also marked the first participation of students from Singapore Polytechnic, strengthening cross-institutional exchange within the civil engineering community.
The event was opened by Professor Chu Jian, Chair of NTU School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), who warmly welcomed participants. As part of the event highlights, students worked in interdisciplinary teams to conceptualise and construct a floating tower that was sustainable, creative, and structurally tall, while maintaining stability under wave action in a pool-based testing arena.
NTU BRIDGE DESIGN COMPETITION 2026
The NTU Bridge Design Competition (BDC) 2026, organised by the NTU Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Club, brought together students from around the world to showcase their engineering creativity, technical expertise, and innovative thinking. Through a challenging bridge design experience, participants applied structural engineering principles to develop efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions while gaining valuable hands-on experience relevant to the industry. Beyond the competition, BDC 2026 fostered international collaboration, problem-solving, and knowledge exchange, inspiring the next generation of engineers to push the boundaries of bridge design and innovation.
CEE SUMMER CAMP 2026
Held from 5 to 9 June 2026, the CEE Summer Camp returned for its second edition with the theme, “Sustainable and Intelligent Built Environment”. The programme offered participants an immersive four-day learning journey centred on the built environment sector and its role in shaping sustainable and resilient cities.
The camp combined site visits, workshops, industry engagement sessions, and a hackathon, providing students with valuable insights into how civil engineering contributes to the development of sustainable and intelligent urban environments. Through these experiences, students honed skills such as problem-solving, innovation, collaboration, and curiosity – capabilities that are increasingly important in addressing the interdisciplinary challenges of the sector.
CEE GRADUATION FAREWELL
NTU CEE Graduation Farewell 2026 celebrated the achievements and unforgettable journey of the graduating Class of 2026 as they marked the end of their university life and the beginning of a new chapter. Organised by the NTU CEE Club, the event brought graduates, faculty, and friends together for an evening of appreciation, reflection, and celebration. Through heartfelt speeches, memorable moments, and shared laughter, graduates looked back on the friendships, challenges, and milestones that defined their time at NTU, leaving with cherished memories and a strong connection to the CEE community as they embarked on their future careers.
Past Project Spotlights
Project Spotlight was initiated by the 30th committee of the CEE Club. It featured a compilation of short, casual videos inviting faculty, alumni and notable students to answer CEE undergrad students' questions.
Project Spotlight aims to establish a platform for CEE students to learn more about their professors beyond the academic setting, forging stronger bonds between the faculty and students. The questions were collected from students online via CEE Club's social media pages.
